1. Acceptance

By using Kidfence, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Description of Service

Kidfence is a parental control application for macOS. It allows parents to manage app access, web filtering, and screen time on their child's Mac from an iPhone app using natural language commands.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and a parent or legal guardian of the child whose device you are managing. You must have legal authority to install software on the managed device.

4. Account and Devices

Kidfence uses cryptographic key pairs for device identity. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your devices. If a device is lost or compromised, unpair it immediately from the app.

5. Subscriptions and Payment

• The Free plan includes basic features for one Mac.
• The Premium plan is billed monthly or annually through Apple's App Store.
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Refunds are handled by Apple per their App Store policies.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Kidfence only to manage devices for children under your legal guardianship. You may not use Kidfence to:

• Monitor adults without their knowledge and consent
• Install on devices you do not own or have authority to manage
• Circumvent laws or regulations in your jurisdiction
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the software

7. Limitations

Kidfence provides parental controls on a best-effort basis. We do not guarantee that all content will be filtered or all apps will be blocked. Determined users with admin access can potentially circumvent protections. Kidfence is a tool to assist parenting, not a replacement for it.

8. Intellectual Property

Kidfence and its associated code, design, and trademarks are the property of Kidfence. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive license to use the software for its intended purpose.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

Kidfence is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will meet your specific requirements.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kidfence shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms. Material changes will be communicated through the app. Continued use constitutes acceptance.

12. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access if you violate these terms. You may stop using Kidfence at any time by uninstalling the app and cancelling your subscription.
